My Priorities for our Streets

As we continue to experience rapid growth across this valley, our leaders must meet the urgency of this moment. We need our elected officials to work together and act decisively in the public’s best interest.

I’m proud of my record making streets better for everyone. During my time serving on the Eagle City Council and as an ACHD Commissioner, I have fought hard to make streets safer and more accessible for everyone. I successfully advocated for improved bike and pedestrian infrastructure, multi-modal transportation options, safe routes to school, increased public transit access, and stronger agency collaboration to stretch every public dollar as far as possible.

My Priorities for our Streets

Ada County is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, and our transportation infrastructure has to keep pace. That takes elected officials who show up, work across agency lines, and make decisions in the public's best interest -- not just for today, but for the next generation.

I am proud of what we have built together over the last four years. As your ACHD District 3 Commissioner and before that on the Eagle City Council, I have fought hard to make streets safer and more accessible for everyone -- regardless of how they travel.

Here is what that looks like on the ground:

  • Safe routes to school and enhanced pedestrian crossings so kids can get to school safely every day

  • Protected bike lanes and multi-use paths that give people real alternatives to driving

  • Neighborhood traffic calming that makes streets livable, not just functional

  • Major corridor investments in Star Road, Linder Road, and State Street that improve daily travel for tens of thousands of residents

  • Stronger collaboration across ACHD, the cities, and regional partners to stretch every public dollar as far as possible

  • A updated impact fee and Capital Improvement Plan program to ensure growth pays for the infrastructure it generates

This work is not finished. Ada County is still growing, the needs are still increasing, and the decisions we make at ACHD in the next four years will shape this community for decades. I am asking for the chance to keep doing this work -- for all of Ada County.

What is ACHD? 
ACHD stands for Ada County Highway District, established in the 1970s. It is responsible for all planning, construction, maintenance, and improvements to Ada County's local roads and bridges -- with an annual budget of over $260 million. ACHD is completely unique as the only countywide highway district of its kind in the entire United States.

How are ACHD Commissioners elected? 
ACHD has five commissioners, each representing one of five geographic districts across Ada County. Miranda represents District 3, which covers north Boise, Garden City, Eagle, and Star.

Starting with this election cycle, Idaho law now requires that ACHD commissioner races be decided by all Ada County voters -- not just voters within each district. That means if you are a registered voter anywhere in Ada County, you have a say in who represents District 3 on the ACHD Commission.

ACHD Commissioners serve four-year terms. In 2026, the District 3 and District 4 seats are on the ballot.

Why does this race matter to you -- wherever you live in Ada County?

ACHD decisions affect every road, intersection, sidewalk, bike lane, and bridge in Ada County. The commission sets funding priorities, approves major corridor projects, and shapes how this county grows and moves for decades to come. Electing experienced, community-focused commissioners matters -- for every Ada County resident.

Idaho Born-and-Raised, Experienced Public Servant

I’m an eighth generation Idahoan, born and raised in Twin Falls. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from Texas State University and have a professional background working in the private sector in logistics, project management and administration. In 2017 I was elected to the Eagle City Council and served as Commissioner and Treasurer on the Eagle Urban Renewal Agency. I was elected Commissioner for District 3 of the Ada County Highway District in 2022, and have served as Commission President since 2025. I now live in Boise with my husband and two school-age sons.

Why I’m Running For Re-Election 

I ran for ACHD because I believed Ada County deserved a transportation agency that thinks bigger -- about safety, about sustainability, about what it means to build a community where everyone can get where they need to go.

Four years later, I believe that more than ever.

Our valley is at a genuine inflection point. The decisions we make right now about how we build our roads, plan our corridors, and invest in safe and connected infrastructure will shape Ada County for decades. Getting this moment right requires experience, relationships, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve.

I am running for re-election because the work is not finished. Because the growth is not slowing down. Because the stakes for getting transportation right -- for safety, for affordability, for quality of life -- have never been higher.

And because I know how to do this job.

I am ready to keep fighting for the Ada County our families deserve -- safer streets, smarter growth, and a transportation system built for everyone.
